Barton Knustler, Ph. D.

Barton Knustler, Ph.D., has been teaching professional managers for the past 15 years at the School of Management at Lesley University, where he is a Full Professor. His book, The Hothouse Effect: Intensify Creativity in Your Organization Using Secrets from History's Most Innovative Communities, published by the American Management Association, provides unique insight into the innovation process and the role creativity plays in organizational success. The Hothouse Effect is currently being translated into Korean and Chinese and has garnered attention from organizations world-wide, including the U.S. Army War College, Saatchi & Saatchi, the New England Aquarium, the U.S. Embassy in Turkey, the American Red Cross, USA Today, various strategic forums, and the U.S. Forest Service.


Dr. Kunstler has developed and delivered programs in communication, creativity, and electronic commerce for various companies and industry groups, as well as for Lesley. He has published journal articles and book chapters about communication, creativity, eCommerce, and education, and presented on these topics at numerous conferences. Dr. Kunstler has been featured on several TV shows and written a regular column (1999-2002, 2004) about technology and social issues entitled "A Futurist View" for The Metrowest Daily News.

Dr. Kunstler offers companies highly effective training programs in creativity, business writing, and oral presentations. As a "creative force in residence," he enables companies to shift gradually into a high-performance mode fueled by the energy and creativity of its employees.
